2017 Wooden Animal Grand Champion
Every year, attendants of the Kit Carson County Fair vote for their favorite wooden animal. Last year, the armored horse received the title of "the grand champion of the year". This year, the armored horse passed down its ribbon to the tiger. The tiger's ferocity allowed it to stand out, so it could win the crowd over to beat its fellow contestants of the zebra, flag horse and donkey. Despite its ferocity, the tiger's saddle is a home to a small face that peers out of a watermelon! This friendly aspect of the tiger welcomes young riders rather than to intimidate. To the tiger, congratulations on the well deserved award and to those who participated in the voting, thank you... we hope to see you again soon!
